David Elwood Schott, age 76, of Bel Air, Maryland, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Gilchrist Center, Towson. He was surrounded by family.
He was born October 27, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Schott and the late Christine Emma Brandt Schott.
David served in the United States Army from 1965-1967. He worked as an automobile parts salesman until his retirement in 2002.
He grew up playing baseball, softball, and shooting pool. He enjoyed watching westerns, eating crabs, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one brother, Ronald Schott, sons David Schott (wife Helen) and Dennis Schott and daughters Christina Jones (husband Bill) and Marissa Schott; grandchildren Destiny Schott, Dalton Locklear, Ashley Hines (husband Randy), Cassidy Jones, Kelsey Jones, Amber Goad, Anthony Goad, Kayla Schott, Jasmine Schott, and Addeson Schott.
David was preceded in death by siblings Dennis Schott, Kenneth Schott, Theodore Schott, Evelyn Franks, Ella Smith, and Jean Sullivan.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 10 am at Oaklawn Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
