Elmer Lawrence was born to the parents of Haywood and Martha Lawrence in Gold Point, NC. He was the youngest of 9 children.
After high school he moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he lived and raised his family.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Dycelia Weiss and Kecia Lawrence, one son Kevin Whitaker; one sister Melissa Whitaker, his ex-wife Doris Ann Brooks and long-time friend Diane Cornick, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. .
He is proceeded in death by his parents; his son, King Lawrence, and siblings Cleve & Sophia Lawrence; Mack & Delzora Lawrence; William & Katherine Lawrence; James & Sophronia Lawrence; Haywood Jr, & Julie Lawrence; Herbert & Rosa Lawrence; Emma & Willie Banks.
Due to COVID restrictions a small memorial will be held with immediate family only
