Obituary for Randall Reeves

IN MEMORY OF
RANDALL FRANKLIN

“RANDY”
REEVES

Randy Reeves, an almost lifelong resident of Harford and Cecil Counties with a
couple of short stays in Delaware and Georgia, died on Thursday, November 19,
2020, with his brother and sister-in-law Maureen by his side. He was 48 years
old.

Born on February 19, 1972, in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the youngest son of
the late Ronald Reeves and the late RuthAnn (Halsey) Reeves.

Randy is survived by his brother Robert Strobridge and sister-in-law Maureen
of Dover, DE, his sister from another mother, Sandi Reeves Groff and her
husband Jeff of Conowingo, MD, and his beloved dog Walter.

Randy graduated from Harford Vo-Tech in 1990 and the GM ASEP training
school. He was a highly skilled mechanic and parts manager for many years.

In addition, Randy also inherited the family gene of truck driving and was a
professional driver several times in his career. He did not have a moving
violation in 32 years. You knew he would get you there, but it wasn’t going to
be fast.

Randy didn’t know a stranger and quickly made fast and long-term friends. As
one cousin put it, “If you were around Harford or Cecil County for long you
probably knew Randy.”

He loved to tell tales, and he was a character whose own personal antics also
created a lot of stories. When Randy showed up for a family gathering it wasn’t
long before he would say, “I’ll be right back.” That was code for I’m out of
here, and I’ll see you in a week or month or who knows how long.

Everyone that knew him has a “Randy” story to tell.

We will remember Randy and his stories and hold him in our hearts and
memories forever.

A Virtual Memorial service will be on Monday, November 23, 2020, at 7:30 pm
on the Zoom Video App.
