Obituary for Robert "Bob" Bieschke

Robert William “Bob” Bieschke, age 88 of Nottingham, MD passed away on December 29, 2019. He was born on August 16, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois to John Stephen Bieschke and Bernice Bieschke (nee, Nadolny)

Bob grew up in Chicago, IL, where he graduated from Murry F Tuley High School in 1949. He then went on to serve our country in the United States Navy during Korean War. While in the navy he met his beautiful late wife Joan and together they moved to Baltimore. Bob began an exciting career as a Baltimore City police officer. He retired from the BCPD as a Sergeant in 1986. Bob was involved in numerous organizations including the American Legion post 180, the Polish Union, the International Police Association, and many more. His hobbies included forging coat of arms’, swords, and creating flags. Bob loved sharing stories and spending time with his family and friends.

Bob was the loving Husband of the Late, Joan Mary Bieschke (nee Belvin) for 66 years, beloved father of Robert W. Bieschke and his wife Trish, John H. Bieschke and his wife Michelle, and Stephen P. Bieschke and his wife Connie; cherished “Grandpop” of Jessica, Robert, Kendall, Brian, Sean, Mickenzie, Michael, and Jacob; dear Great Grandpop of Dylan, Colt, Scarlett, and Thomas; beloved brother of the late John Bieschke and his late wife Loraine, and Raymond Bieschke. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friend.

Friends and family will gather to honor Bob’s life at Marzullo Funeral Chapel, 6009 Harford Rd, Baltimore MD 21214 on Friday, January 3, 2019, from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ursula’s Catholic Church, 8801 Harford Rd. Parkville MD. on Saturday January 4, 2019, beginning at 11am. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
